I am a pastel painter. I chose this medium because of its immediacy and lightness. Pastel allows you freedom to build a richness of color in a single sitting that I did not find in any other kind of painting. It is the purest pigment in a soft medium that can still give you hard edges while maintaining its beautiful fluidity of expression.

Eastham Yellow
"Eastham Yellow" (5" x 7")
Eastham is the first Cape Cod National Seashore stop. It's quiet and colorful and a great place to paint.
