I am a pastel painter. I chose this medium because of its immediacy and lightness. Pastel allows you freedom to build a richness of color in a single sitting that I did not find in any other kind of painting. It is the purest pigment in a soft medium that can still give you hard edges while maintaining its beautiful fluidity of expression.

Colors of Truro
Colors of Truro (5" x 7"
This is a landscape of a portion of the National Seashore that runs along the easternmost edge of Cape Cod. I love the layers of beach plants and the how the colors change all throughout the year.
