I am a pastel painter. I chose this medium because of its immediacy and lightness. Pastel allows you freedom to build a richness of color in a single sitting that I did not find in any other kind of painting. It is the purest pigment in a soft medium that can still give you hard edges while maintaining its beautiful fluidity of expression.

"I am too a Reindeer!" 10" x 10"
Cows are such good sports. They end up in a lot of paintings mostly, I think, because they're just too cute! So here's my Christmas effort for this year. I think the title and expression pretty much say it all. Merry Moomus everyone!!
