I am a pastel painter. I chose this medium because of its immediacy and lightness. Pastel allows you freedom to build a richness of color in a single sitting that I did not find in any other kind of painting. It is the purest pigment in a soft medium that can still give you hard edges while maintaining its beautiful fluidity of expression.

Twilight Cast
"Twilight Cast" (5" x 7")
I almost titled this "My Husband's Idea of Heaven" because it truly is. I was really more interested in the sunset. Oh well.
